Welcome to Under the Philosotree

“I say in fact this is the greatest good for a man, to talk every day about virtue and the other things you hear me converse about when I examine both myself and others, and that the unexamined life is not worth living for a man…” – Socrates, Apology of Socrates (Written by Plato)

Hello and welcome to my new blog!

I am a simple man with a deep-rooted interest in philosophy, literature, science and the natural world. On top of all of that, I’m also mildly obsessed with writing and sharing my thoughts on things. So here I am, on a journey to begin my second blog, with a new focus on Philosophy for its foundation, while in the real world I pursue an undergraduate degree in the same area of interest.

In every blog post I aim to work in bits and pieces of philosophical ideas from well-known authors and philosophers. Afterward I will give my own take on how it relates to our world right now and how we can use some of these philosophical texts to enrich our own personal world as well as the world around us. My aim is for there to be something in this for everyone, from every walk of life, and to provide quality content so that all of my readers feel there is something to be appreciated in every post. Perhaps in order to spark the change that is so desperately needed in the world today, we simply need to spend more time visiting that vast wealth of knowledge which already exists and to share it plentifully with one another in an inclusive and simple way.

Thank you for joining me, and I look forward to interacting with you in the future!
